About Me
Lars
My name is Lars, I just turned 50, and like many men in their fifties I juggle family, work, and the busy everyday life that often pushes fitness to the bottom of the list. I have two kids, a full schedule, and for years I told myself I didn’t have time to think about my health. But I realized that was nonsense. Fitness isn’t optional – it’s one of the most important parts of life. Our body is like a clockwork: if we don’t take care of it, everything else slows down. Energy, focus, even motivation – they all depend on how well we treat our body.
That’s why I started this blog: to share my journey of getting back in shape as a man over 50. I’m exploring what really works: how often to train, which exercises give the best results, what foods make me feel energized instead of tired, and how to stay consistent in the long run. Sometimes it’s strength training at the local gym, sometimes it’s walking or cycling, sometimes just mindful eating instead of grabbing sugar or late-night snacks. It’s not about perfection, it’s about steady progress.
Here on Stronger Fiftysomething, you’ll find my personal diary and guide on fitness over 50, strength training for men over 50, nutrition, motivation, and building the discipline to stay fit and strong – not just for today, but for the decades ahead. Join me on this path and let’s prove together that men over 50 can get fitter, stronger, and more motivated than ever before.
